Windows 7 and Intel P55 Sync Issue with iPhone devices

It’s a perfect storm of sorts, throw in a little bit of Windows 7, a dash of the Intel P55 Chipset and an Apple iPhone and what do you get? How about a whole mess of compatibility. At least that’s the case currently being caused by an Intel USB Controller.

According to recent reports by Engadget, customers with that very setup are experiencing “Consistent (and persistent) syncing issues.” One such issue occurs when iTunes recognizes the iPhone device, but then provides the message “error oxE8000065″ when the user attempts to sync the device

There is a work around if you’re willing to bypass the chipset and use a PCI-based USB card, or you can wait around for the Core i5 and i7 iMacs to start shipping, hopefully at that point they’ll have the issue fixed, otherwise it’ll be quite an embarrassing moment for Mac when their own devices won’t sync to one another.

Microsoft may be in the clear here, but why do I smell another Mac commercial with the Microsoft guy popping up…</description>
