Our recommendation for every Macbook and Macbook Pro that is older than 3 years is replace thermal paste (with nonconductive one) and cleaning internal fans. Our experience on many MacBook and MacBook Pro, their performance decreasing after approx. 3 years because of thermal issues. Those generally because of the thermal paste used in them not good after 3 years and dirt become solid on fans. We will post some updates on our post about this. Reinstall general direction for people to resolve infamous sleep issue on Hackintosh. Suddenly you had issue (you may forget energy settings for avoiding sleep or everything fine with sleep but somehow now your computer cannot wake up from it), what you can do. How to edit the hosts file in Mac OS X Leopard and Lion

The hosts file is a text file that maps hostnames to IP addresses. You may need to edit it for certain application work on your Mac or map connections to different ips. Upon typing a url address on the browser, the system is checking if there is a relevant entry on the hosts file and gets the corresponding IP address, else it resolves the IP via the active connection’s DNS servers. This tip/tutorial is good for all Intel Macs. You may fallow these steps and install 10.7 Lion and 10.6 Snow Leopard with a usb flash drive. Like other versions of OS X, Snow Leopard and Lion can be installed from a USB drive.
